Most women will tell you that being a woman is no easy feat. Having children and a full time job will only add to this already hard job. Women for years have been trying to find the balance they need for their lives as mother, and employee. Keeping healthy can sometimes take a back seat to all the other things in your life. When taking care of everyone else, it is easy to forget to take care of yourself.

We all know that drinking our orange juice every morning is healthy. This is not easily accomplished while rushing out the door to get to work and drop the kids at school. Most women feel that they accomplished a miracle if they simply remembered to grab their laptop bag, they are hardly thinking about the unfinished glass of OJ. After dropping the children at school and getting to work with no time to spare you can finally take a breathe. Does this sound like your mornings?

We all have mornings like this, but it should be the exception not the rule. If you are rushing out every morning you should try a few things to avoid that. You can try setting your alarm thirty minutes early, or lying out the clothes for the next day for you and the children. If these things do not work, you can try making a schedule to be followed in the mornings by everyone.

Balancing your life is possible you just need to find something that works for you. When you finally get home after a long day at work, chauffeuring children around, cleaning your home, and feeding your family, you surely do not want to think about a schedule. Even so, you should make one anyway. This schedule can turn your house into a home instead of a circus.

Try scheduling some time for you in your busy day. It is important to take care of yourself if you are to keep taking care of everyone else. Make sure to take at least an hour at night for yourself. Talk to your spouse and kids and explain that this is your time and you should not be disturbed.

Grab a great book and a glass of your favorite wine and climb into a hot bath tub. This is something you have earned so do not feel guilty about taking this time. The restless nights will become a thing of the past. Retiring for the night will be something you look forward to, not something you dread anymore. You will be surprised how much better you can sleep when you are not climbing into bed stressed. When you relax, you life will become more relaxed.

This may not seem possible but trust me that old saying ‘if moms not happy no one is’ is a very true statement. Try giving yourself an hour each night to pamper yourself and I assure you that you will be able to toss the hair loss vitamin bottle you have under your cabinet.
